I am leaving for the most exciting journey of my life tomorrow. I will be traveling to Germany to learn, create, draw, paint, (eat!), and explore, which are things that i love to do. As an illustration student at the University of Kansas, I was presented with the opportunity to intern abroad by my professors. The internship will be in the town of Eutin, Germany. This town is the sister city to Lawrence, the town where I attend college.
Eutin has a summer festival every year and has asked for some artistic and creative help. And that is where another illustration student, Casey, and I enter the picture!
Before I leave for this trip, I want to soak in all of the things that remind me of my home. Although I go to school in Lawrence, I am originally from the small town of De Soto, KS. I have had a few short, summer weeks at home before I leave and I have made wonderful memories within those weeks.
